tyvek wallets aren't new. mighty wallet has been making them in new york since 2005, paperwallet went down a similar path. if you're hunting for one, you probably already know both.

and if you're buying from europe, the easiest mighty option you've probably already found is dynomighty.eu - the official eu distributor based in the netherlands. €20.95 plus eu shipping, next-day across most of europe. that path solves customs and timing.

so this isn't an article about saving you customs hassle. it's about what we do differently at the product level - and why someone might still pick missinghue when the eu logistics are basically a wash.

mighty, paperwallet, dynomighty.eu, and us

the tyvek wallet as a category came out of new york. mighty wallet (dynomighty design) has been making them since 2005, paperwallet has been on the same road. they're the reason people search for these wallets at all.

in europe, dynomighty.eu carries the mighty wallet line from the netherlands - same product, eu shipping, no customs to worry about. that's the realistic mighty option for european buyers.

at missinghue, we make a tyvek wallet that's built differently. bills lie flat inside, and there's a strap on the outside that holds one card. you won't find these two together on any other tyvek wallet right now. plus six designs the founder curates personally - based on what holds up after years of carry, not just what catches the eye on a hanger.

what's different about ours

this is why missinghue exists - the wallet itself. the made-in-eu part is a side effect, not the headline.

bills slide in flat

we fold like any other wallet - that's how it stays slim in your pocket. what you don't do at missinghue: pre-fold your banknotes before they go in.

a small thing you only notice over time.

paperwallet says it on their own page: "you'll have to fold a 100€ bill in half to fit it in the side pocket." with us, the bill pocket is the full size of a banknote. euros, pounds, dollars, czech crowns - they all slide in flat. when you close the wallet, the bill folds with it; before it goes in, you don't fold anything.

the founder used to carry a wallet that wanted his bills pre-folded. every single time, in half, before they went in. when he started looking for a new one, all the tyvek wallets he found did the same. so he started making his own.

a strap for your most-used card

on the outside of the wallet there's a strap holding one card. the card you reach for the most - id, main payment card, transit pass - sits in the strap and pulls out without opening the wallet. the rest of your cards live inside; for those, you open it.

mighty has two open pockets on the outside, paperwallet has nothing there. a strap that holds a card under tension and lets you pull it out in one motion - among tyvek wallets, you'll only find that at missinghue.

six designs, picked by the founder personally

this is something we put real weight on: even though all our wallets are made from the same tyvek material, every print and pattern behaves differently in real wear. some colors lose contrast in your pocket fast. half a year in, the wallet looks tired.

we deliberately don't print darks or blacks - that's where wear shows the most. only designs we're sure of after a year of carry make it into production.

mighty wallet has 100+ artist prints. paperwallet has 200+. quantity from many artists vs. six author-led designs from one founder. two legitimate philosophies.

our six designs

svitlana, on why she stopped carrying a wallet for three years:

for three years i didn't carry a wallet - mine wouldn't fit in my new small handbag. then the trippy from missinghue came into my hand and hallelujah! small, thin, no zipper and nothing gets crumpled. i carry it with me always.

who these wallets are for

our customers are people who don't want their bills folded. who appreciate pulling out the most-used card without opening anything. who want a wallet that's light, water-resistant, recyclable at the end - and feels like more than a billfold with 200 random prints.

it's a brand for people who buy author-led products - something a specific person picked, by a specific taste, based on what holds up over time.

it's a brand for people buying in europe who expect the purchase to follow eu rules - 24-month warranty, returns inside the eu, no customs paperwork at the door.

and it's a brand for people who like that what we ship to you, we make ourselves. in prague, by hand, in a small studio.

how the print fades

prints on tyvek do fade over time - mostly saturated colors and darker shades on edges and friction points. the material itself holds. the print sometimes doesn't. that's exactly why we pick designs with this in mind.

how long yours stays looking new depends on how you carry it - card count, how often you pull cards, sun and water exposure. honestly, it actually looks new for about a year, two. after that you start to see patina - edges flattened in, saturated colors fading at the folds. that's natural aging, not a defect. our 24-month warranty is there for genuine manufacturing failures (a torn seam, a faulty fold), not the gradual fade. more on how tyvek ages in our what is tyvek article.

we don't claim "indestructible" - long-term reviews in this category contradict it for everyone, including us.

i've been carrying one wallet for almost two years now, every day in my pocket, and i haven't had a single problem with it. when it's in my pocket, i don't even know it's there.

faq before buying

how fast does it ship?

in czechia 2-3 days via packeta, free shipping. across most of the eu, 2-5 business days, with shipping calculated at checkout - it varies by country.

what if it doesn't fit me?

honest answer - international returns aren't fun for anyone. you've got 14 days to send it back, the parcel travels inside the eu, no customs paperwork. if something fails on the material side later, our 24-month warranty has it covered.

how long does it last?

honest answer: it actually looks new for about a year, two - depending on how often you pull cards and which prints you go for. after that you start to see patina - edges flattened, saturated colors fading at the folds. that's natural aging, not a defect. our 24-month warranty is for genuine manufacturing failures (a torn seam, a faulty fold), not the gradual fade. more on how tyvek ages in our what is tyvek article.

is it water-resistant?

tyvek itself laughs at water - drops bead off, short submersion is fine. what to keep it away from: long soaks, salt water, and the combination of water plus sun - that's where the print eventually pays the price.

what's it actually made from?

dupont™ tyvek®. don't think paper - it's a synthetic from densely-pressed hdpe fibers: light, tear-resistant, water-resistant. the same material is used for protective suits and fedex envelopes. for the record: we have no license or partnership with dupont; we just buy the material like any other manufacturer. more in our what is tyvek article.

ready in prague

if the material itself isn't familiar yet, read what is tyvek - that defines how the wallet actually behaves more than the brand name does.

it ships within eu terms, made in prague, with a 24-month warranty. on day one you unbox it, look at it, slip it in your pocket. a few weeks later you'll know what it's like to carry a wallet you don't notice in your pocket. you can't really know until you try it. that's exactly the moment we make it for.
