what is tyvek? and why a wallet?

tyvek is the stuff hospitals use to keep things sterile. the sheet wrapping buildings before the bricks go on. the thing in those crinkly fedex envelopes you can't tear no matter how hard you try. it looks like paper, behaves like fabric, lasts like plastic. nasa has used it since apollo. so have hazmat crews, architects, and the people who package everything that absolutely cannot get wet.

i already have a wallet. why switch?

honest answer? if you love your current wallet, keep it. but if you're tired of sitting on a brick, of fishing through five cards to find one, of feeling that weight every time you stand up, you already know why you're here. ours holds your 8 plus cards and your bills, weighs almost nothing, and slides into your front pocket like it was made for it (because it was). almost everyone who switches tells us the same thing, they wish they'd done it sooner.

how many cards does it actually hold?

honestly, more than you think. the official answer is 8 plus, but most of our customers fit 10 to 12 without it bulging. it stretches a tiny bit with use, the way good leather would. you can also slip a few folded bills in there at the same time. the only thing it won't love is jamming 20 cards in by force, that's not what it was designed for, and your back pocket would feel it anyway.

how thin is it really? what does it weigh?

empty, 9 grams. loaded with your cards and bills, about 30. a leather wallet full is 100 to 160 grams, metal ones 70 to 120. you feel the difference by the end of the day.

on thickness, 3 mm empty and around 8 mm full. most thin wallets list the empty number and skip the loaded one. the gap is usually three to eight millimetres. ours stays close.

shipping. when does it land?

fast. you order today, we pack it tomorrow, you'll have it in your hands within a few days. free across czechia, a little longer for the rest of europe but never weeks. and when the package lands at your door, you'll see we put a little thought into the unboxing too. it should feel like a moment, not just a delivery.

do you ship outside europe?

right now we ship across all of europe with no fuss. if you're outside europe and really want one, write to us at hello@missinghue.com and we'll figure something out together. we love seeing one of ours land somewhere unexpected, it's one of the best parts of doing this.

can i track my order?

the carrier you pick at checkout handles tracking, not us. once the parcel leaves our studio, they send you their own link. most of them do, some just send a delivery window. inside czechia it's usually fast enough that you barely have time to refresh anyway.

what if i don't love it?

then you send it back and we refund you, no hard feelings. you have 14 days from when it arrives, just keep it unused so we can pass it on to someone else who'll fall for it. one honest thing, return shipping is on you, that's the only catch. but if you have any doubts before you order, just write to us. we'd rather have a real conversation with you than have you guess.

what if something actually breaks? a real defect?

that's on us. if there's a real defect from how we made it, the print peeled in a weird way, the fold isn't right, anything like that, just send us a photo and we'll replace it. no forms, no fine print. we make these by hand, we know it's not impossible to slip up, and we'd much rather make it right than argue about it.

rain. coffee. washing machine. survives?

here's the thing. you forget your wallet in your jeans, the jeans go in the wash, you panic. with a leather one, that's a funeral. with ours, you fish it out, leave it on the radiator overnight, and by morning it's back in your pocket like nothing happened. caught in rain on the way home? cards stay dry. spilled coffee at your desk? wipe it off and keep going. it's not a submarine. but for everything life actually throws at you, you can stop worrying.

grab one

how long does it last? and what about wear?

think about your favorite jeans. the ones you've had for years, the ones with the soft creases in exactly the right places, the ones that look better the more you wear them. that's how this wallet ages. our customers carry theirs every day, two years and counting, and they tell us the same thing, it just gets better. the lines, the soft folds, the little marks from your everyday life, they make it yours. how fast that happens depends on you. gentle pocket and it stays crisp. busy life and it earns its stories faster. either way, it stays with you.

see how it ages

how do i clean it if it gets dirty?

the easy way. wipe it down with a damp cloth, that handles most things. for something stickier, a tiny bit of dish soap and water works. don't soak it in solvents or scrub it like you're punishing it, just be gentle. one of the things we love about tyvek is how forgiving it is with cleaning, you don't need any special product or treatment.

can i bring it back if it looks really worn out?

kind of. you can't bring it back to brand new, that's the trade off with a material that holds your story. but if it's just dusty or a bit grey from years of pocket life, a careful clean usually brings most of the color back. and honestly, the worn version often looks better. several of our long term customers tell us they wouldn't go back to a fresh one even if they could.

650 kč for a wallet that looks like paper. seriously?

we get it, we'd ask the same thing. so let's be straight with you. it's not paper, it's tyvek, and a leather wallet at this kind of quality usually runs you somewhere between 1 500 and 5 000 kč. ours is 650 kč, lasts just as long, weighs nothing, and no animal had to be part of it. when you pay us, you're paying for the design we drew, the material we hunted down, and the fact that we fold every single one with our own hands in our little studio in prague. no factory pumping out thousands. no middleman taking a cut. no hidden markup for a logo. just the real thing, made for you.

is it really vegan? what about the glue, the inks, all of that?

yes, all the way through, and we're glad you asked because it matters to us too. the tyvek itself is 100% synthetic, no animal anywhere in the supply chain. the inks we print with are water based and certified. no leather, no animal glue, nothing sneaky in the small print. when we say "no animal suffers", we mean the whole wallet, not just the part you can see. you can carry this one without thinking twice.

our full ethics

who is actually behind missinghue?

a small team of people who got tired of bad wallets. we're based in prague, we design every print ourselves, we fold every piece by hand, and we answer every email personally. we're not a big factory pretending to be a small brand. we're an actually small brand, and we plan to stay that way. if you write to us, you're talking to one of us, not a bot.

i want to give one as a gift. can you wrap it?

yes, and it kind of comes that way already. every wallet ships in packaging we put real thought into, so the unboxing itself feels like part of the gift. if you want something extra (a handwritten note, a gift receipt without the price), just leave a comment at checkout or write us. we got you.

can my company order custom wallets with our logo?

yes, and it's actually one of our favorite things to do. minimum order is 50 pieces. you pick the design, we add your logo, your colors, your touch. perfect for onboarding gifts, client gifts, team merch, events. we did exactly this for investown's whole team and they still carry them.

see how it works

how does the b2b process work?

simple. you write to us with what you have in mind, how many, when you need them, any design ideas. we send back a free mockup so you can see exactly what it'll look like. once you're happy, we make them by hand and ship them to you, or directly to your team. start to finish takes 2 to 4 weeks, depending on quantity and how custom you want to go.
