01

the pocket stays flat.

shove it wherever you like - the pocket keeps its line and the fabric never pulls.

02

bills lie flat.

euros, pounds and dollars go in flat, full-length, side by side.

03

water doesn't bother it.

spilled coffee, a rainy day, a wet jacket in the bag. wipe it off and keep going.

04

the chip covers the payment.

cards send an encrypted token that can't be reused. that's why we don't add an rfid layer.

flat even when you sit.

a thick wallet in your front pocket shows the moment you sit down. this one holds its profile whether you're in a festival chair or at a desk - front pocket or back.

what goes inside.

for most of us who carry it every day, it looks similar - a few cards, id, two or three bills just in case. plus the small things that settle in on their own over time.

more, less, or completely different - in the end it's up to you.

thin missinghue wallet at the till - bill pulled out, card visible through the design window
cards at hand · no zips

no digging in your bag.

card-sized and holds its shape, so you feel it on the first reach. whatever else you keep in there.

thin wallet in a pocket, a bag and a backpack

water-resistant.

rain, spilled coffee, a damp bag - our material takes it without a trace. wipe it off and the wallet looks like it did a minute ago.

water resistance isn't a surface coating that fades with time. it's built into the fibres we make the wallet from.

under running water*

*wet or dry, tyvek holds the same. and you won't tear it with your fingers - dupont measures over 5 newtons in tension.

how fast it settles, your daily routine decides.

in a back pocket, where you pull it out every day, the corners round first and the surface softens in a few weeks. in a bag or backpack it takes longer - the edges stay sharper, the colour closer to the original.

functionally it's still the same wallet. just a little more yours.

after 8 months of daily carry*

*video is from our customer filip - back pocket, 8 cards inside. that's where the movement reaches the wallet most and the corners settle first. in a bag or backpack the same look shows up later.

people who carry it every day.

"for three years i didn't carry a wallet - mine wouldn't fit my new little bag. then trippy from missinghue landed in my hands and hallelujah - small, thin, no zipper, and nothing gets crumpled inside. i take it everywhere now."

"i carry @missinghuecom every day - it has the best size-to-function ratio, and the design is lovely on top of that."

"i've carried one wallet in my pocket almost every day for nearly two years with no problems at all. in my pocket i don't even notice it, and getting a card out is quick."

questions that come up before buying.

how thin is it really, once it's loaded?
3 mm folded and empty. around 8 mm with 8 cards and a few bills - that loaded thickness matches what you actually carry in the pocket.
how many cards actually fit inside?
physically up to about twenty. once you take them out, tyvek remembers the shape and the remaining cards sit more loosely - sometimes they slip out. good to know up front.

otherwise it's up to you. some people carry two - id and an insurance card. some six, some twelve. the wallet adapts.
does it have an rfid layer?
it doesn't, and we don't add one. skimming fears were a 2010 thing - today's contactless payments use an encrypted token sent one-time from the card, and money can't be taken from it. the chip covers you, not the sleeve. if shielding still feels better to you, this wallet won't give you that peace of mind.
what about coins?
tyvek is a flat, thin material. adding coins creates the pocket bulge the wallet is designed against. so on purpose, there's no coin slot. if you carry coins daily, they fit in a small separate pouch or a jacket pocket, where the wallet's shape stays intact.
how does the weight compare to others?
9 g on its own, around 30 g loaded. for context: leather with the same capacity loaded is 100-160 g, metal is 70-120 g. ours loaded is lighter than most of the others when they're completely empty.
i pay mostly with my phone. does a wallet still make sense?
an id in the phone isn't enough yet, a driver's licence only in some places. you still need to carry the physical ones - the question is where. loose in the pocket they end up creased and annoying. a wallet gives them a place, and you stop thinking about them.
how long does it last?
it resists water without a mark, and you won't tear it with your fingers. years of daily carry do one thing - soften the surface, round the corners, adapt the profile to your pocket. functionally it stays the same wallet, visually a bit more yours.
